'Philadelphia Tribune' Named the Nations Best Black Newspaper

The National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) bestowed the John B. Russwurm Award for "Best Newspaper" to the Philadelphia Tribune, the nation's oldest continously running black newspaper. Published TUES, WED, THURS, FRI and SUN, the newspaper was created in 1884 by Chrisopher James Perry Jr.
